Bloodborne Pathogens
OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030), requires employers to safeguard employees who face potential occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials. If there is any chance you might encounter blood or other potentially infectious materials, you face significant health risks. You will receive introduction to bloodborne pathogens including HepB, HIV and TB; proven steps to reduce exposure risks and prevent infection; action to take if an exposure occurs; and recordkeeping and exposure control plans.
